Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR)

BASIC APPROACH

OLFA conducts business activities in various countries and regions around the world. These activities include procuring raw materials and supplies, as well as outsourcing and subcontracting across a wide range of industries and locations.

Meanwhile, global expectations for CSR are evolving and becoming more complex. These expectations address critical issues such as climate change mitigation, environmental stewardship, respect for human rights, and improving working conditions.

These responsibilities extend beyond our own operations to the entire supply chain. To address these challenges and ensure stable, sustainable procurement, OLFA has implemented extensive policies that demonstrate our dedication to ethical and responsible business practices.

CSR PROCUREMENT

OLFA takes a proactive approach to CSR by establishing its CSR Procurement Policy as the foundation of its responsible initiatives, with the aim of building an ethical supply chain that addresses environmental and social responsibilities, safeguards human rights, and ensures product quality and stable supply.

To ensure the effective implementation of this policy throughout the supply chain, OLFA has established the “CSR Procurement Action Guideline” and the “Supplier Code of Conduct,” which set forth clear requirements and expectations for compliance by both OLFA and its business partners.

HUMAN RIGHTS & LABOR

OLFA believes that “a business flourishes through trust by society,” and its operations depend on resources entrusted to it, including human talent, financial capital, and essential materials. With this trust comes responsibility, and OLFA must maximize these resources, create meaningful value through its activities, and give it back to society.

Moreover, our business is supported by a wide network of stakeholders, including not only our employees working within the group, but also our customers who use our products and services, our business partners involved in procurement and sales, and all those closely connected to and supporting our business.

Based on this recognition, OLFA has established a Human Rights and Labor Policy and strives to fulfill its social responsibilities so that all stakeholders can lead healthy and happy lives, both physically and mentally.

CSR MANAGEMENT

To promote CSR procurement throughout the entire OLFA Group, including both domestic and overseas affiliates, and to mitigate risks related to the globalization of supply chains, OLFA has formed a CSR Procurement Working Group.

The group plays a pivotal role in evaluating suppliers’ CSR practices, collaborating on customer-led CSR procurement surveys, and promoting responsible procurement throughout our global network. Additionally, the group regularly reports on CSR procurement progress and risk mitigation activities to the CSR Promotion Committee and the Management ensuring informed decision-making and transparent communication across the organization.
