For cutting soft materials in circles

The CMP-3 is used to cut a circle through soft materials such as cloth, film and leather in the same way as a compass. It can easily cut circles from 4 to 22 cm in diameter.

How to use

① Place the top of the grip on the base of your index finger as shown in the illustration and hold it firmly.
② Keep the handle vertical and press the blade and needle firmly against the cutting surface. Do not twist the handle, but turn it clockwise to cut in a circular motion with needle at the center.

When cutting a small circle

Twist the handle, use the ratchet function to back it off a little, and repeat the twisting motion again to cut a little at a time.

Tips for cutting beautifully

– Cut with an OLFA cutting mat.
– Turn slowly and carefully to cut in one turn.
– If failed to cut in one pass, turn it clockwise one more time. Do not turn it in the opposite direction.
– If you are not familiar with using this cutter, we recommend that you try it out on an OLFA cutting mat before actual cutting.

Blade Replacement

To prevent blade from falling off, push up ② and remove it while holding ① with your fingers.
Set blade on the grooved side and attach it to the main unit.
* 2 refill blades are included.
*For safety, replace blade with blade cover down and cap on needle.
*Do not slide the pin lock except when replacing blade.
